Step 1

Cut a hole in the top with a large knife to get inside your pumpkin.

Step 2

Scoop out all of the seeds and put into a bowl.

Step 3

Set the seeds aside and soak them in water for cooking later the guts will sink and the seeds will float to the top.

Step 4

Have an adult help you cut your shapes out of the pumpkin to create a face or design.

Step 5

Make sure to get all of the guts out as they might hang in front of your light and make a shadow.

Step 6

Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, drain and lay the seeds.

Step 7

Douse seeds with olive oil and seasoning of your choosing.

Step 8

Stir every 15 minuets and cook until golden brown. Make sure too keep a close eye after 45 minuets. Let cool and enjoy.
